GENERAL INFO

ONLINE CHECK IN will be available starting Thursday, October 9. Exhibitors with cats entered will receive an email with instructions.

IN-PERSON CHECK IN @ SHOW HALL: Friday :3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Saturday: 6:00a.m.-7:00 a.m., cats not benched by 7:00 a.m. will be marked absent and late exhibitors must notify the clerk in EACH ring that they are present.

SHOW HOURS – EXHIBITORS: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m on Saturday; 8:00 a.m. to 4:00p.m. on Sunday. Judging starts at 8:00 a.m. each day. No cats will be permitted to leave the show hall during official, posted show hours without permission of show management.

SHOW HOURS – PUBLIC: Saturday – 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Sunday – 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

BENCHING: Cats will be benched by breed. If entering more than one breed, you need to indicate which breed you want your cats benched with or the entry clerk will make the decision for you.

ENTRY & PAYMENT INFO

  • Entries must be submitted through the online entry system. Fax/Email/Mail/Phone entries will NOT be accepted.
  • All entries MUST be paid in full within 10 days of the receipt of entry as per CFA Show Rule 6.21.
  • Credit card and PayPal payments can be made through the CFA online catalog PAY HERE
  • Upon submission, exhibitors will receive an on-screen confirmation that the entry has been received. Please allow up to 15 days to receive confirmation from the entry clerk.
  • All entries MUST be paid in full within 10 days of the receipt of entry.

  • If paying by check, make check payable to CFA and note “CIS” on the check and send to the entry clerk.
  • By entering exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges and the show committee and to adhere to CFA Show Rules. Printed copies of CFA Show Rules may be obtained for $7.00 each plus shipping from CFA, 260 East Main Street, Alliance OH 44601; electronic versions are available online HERE.
  • Use of ANY SIZE security cage will require the purchase of a double cage (extra 1/2 double cage for entered cat). The size of a single cage (1/2 cage) is approximately 22” x 22” x 22”.
  • End of row spaces are extremely limited.
  • Exhibitors traveling from outside the U.S. requiring a vet inspection before returning to their country. Contact the show manager, Linda Murphy, for details. Inspections will be conducted ONLY on Friday, October 10, at the I-X Center.

SCORING INFO

All permanently registered Cats, Kittens and HHPs scored for National/Regional/Divisional Points

*Cats/Kittens with Temporary Registration Numbers (TRN) are included in the count and eligible for awards only at the show.

SCORING:

  • All entries in Championship and Premiership (except Novice), registered Kittens and HHPs will be scored for National/Regional awards at 75% of the points accumulated by regular scoring.
  • Grand Points are 100%.
  • Unregistered kittens will be included in the count and will ONLY be eligible for scoring and awards at the show. Owners of unregistered kittens and catsMUST have or obtain a temporary registration number  when entering the show.

FINALS:

  • Championship, Premiership – Top 15
  • Kittens – Top 20
  • HHP – Top 15

AGILITY: Top ten scores will be awarded

BREED/DIVISION AWARDS:

  • All rings will award up to Top 5 in each breed/division based on entry (1-5 entered = Best & 2nd Best; 6-10 = add 3rd Best, 11-15 = add 4th Best; 16+ = add 5th best).
  • Best, Second Best and Third Best will be awarded for breed(s) in the Miscellaneous Class.
  • Overall Best of Breed/Division Kitten, Championship & Premiership entry will be awarded based on points accumulated at the ring level (i.e. breed/division awards only, no finals included).
  • Best of Breed/Division recognized in the Kitten, Championship and Premiership classes.
  • Breed awards will be scored for CFA regional/national/divisional awards.
  • Best-5th Best Champion/Open and Best-3rd Best Premier/Open will be awarded in all rings.

 

BEST IN SHOW:

  • The Best Longhair and Shorthair Kitten, Championship Cat and Premiership Cat will be presented and judged by the Best of the Best judges to determine the overall Best Kitten, Best Championship and Best Premiership Cat.
  • These three (3) cats will then be judged by the Best in Show judge who will select the overall Best-In-Show winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up.
  • A special presentation of the top 3 HHP and Top 3 Agility will be presented prior to the Best of the Best.

MISCELLANEOUS INFO

  • All claws of all entries must be clipped prior to benching.
  • No declawed entries are permitted.
  • No kittens under 4 months of age are permitted in the show hall or on the show grounds.
  • No cats or kittens may be confined in carriers.
  • No cats or kittens may be left in the show hall overnight.
  • Litter will be provided. Bring your own food & water bowls and litter pans.
  • Show hall is heated and/or air conditioned as appropriate.
  • First aid kit available at the CFA booth and first aid personnel on site.
  • This is a non-vetted show and it is strongly advised that all cats or kittens entered or present in the show hall be inoculated before entry by a licensed veterinarin against feline panleukopenia (formerly known as feline distemper or feline infectious enteri- tis), feline rhinotracheitis, calici viruses and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV before entry. All entries must be free of fungus and parasites.
  • Show committee and CFA are not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
  • In case of emergency at the show hall, contact show management immediately and call 911 if necessary.
